Ordination to Priesthood

Rev Fergal O’Neill who was with us here in Birr as student and deacon, was ordained priest on Saturday 13 December 2008 in Mary Immaculate Church, Shannon, County Clare. The Bishop of Killaloe, Most Rev Dr Willie Walsh was the chief celebrant of the Mass.
Fergal celebrated his first Mass on Sunday 14 December at 3pm in the same church. He has appointed to Cloughleigh in Ennis parish on a temporary basis and we wish him all the best at this time and in his future ministry.
