It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Agnes Dempsey (Née Dillon) of 2 New Road East, Birr and formerly of Cadamstown and Presentation Place, Birr, on August 29th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

The youngest of 18 children in the Dillon family (Cadamstown), she is survived by her sisters;
Peggy (Dublin), Phylis (Roscrea), Helen (Dublin) and her brother Bob (Manchester).

Deeply loved and will be forever missed by her loving daughter Michelle, her devoted son Simon, daughter in law Davina and her adoring niece Sinead.

A devoted mother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

May her gentle soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

Reposing at Boyd’s Funeral Home Birr (R42YF75) on Monday, August, 31st from 5pm. to 7 pm.

Removal on Tuesday, September 1st, to St Brendan’s Church, Birr arriving for Funeral Mass at
11am. followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Tullamore Hospice at Tullamore Hospital.
