Deirdre McCarthy (née Boyd), Birr Road, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Birr, Co. Offaly, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on August 21st, 2026 in the exceptional care of Millford Care Centre Limerick having been previously cared for in St. Vincents Private Hospital, Dublin.

Predeceased by her parents Dan and Rita.

She will be forever loved and missed by her husband Ray, her sons Daniel, Brian and Thomas, daughter Kate (Collier), son-in-law Ciarán, daughter-in-law Claire , Brian and Thomas’s partners Lisa and Olivia, her cherished grandchildren; Heidi, Sonny, Síofra, Sophie and Lucy, her brothers Donal and Paul, sister Mary (Quinlan), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and her many great friends and neighbours.

Removal from her home on Monday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St. Brendan’s Church, Birr at 10.45am. for Funeral Mass at 11am., followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.

Cyril Goonan Main Street, Shinrone, Birr, Co. Offaly and formerly Crinkill, Birr died on the 18th of August 2026 peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Sheila, Brothers Jim and Pauric, sister Anne and baby Jack.

Mary Power (née McDonagh), 10 Mill Street Birr, Co. Offaly and formerly of Tullamore, died August 16th, 2026, peacefully in the care of the staff of The Brosna Unit, Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, after a brief illness.

Predeceased by her husband Golly and her children Luke, Thomas, Vincent and Helen, her grandson’s Eamonn and Richard and great-grandson Christopher.

Padraig Horan, Curraghlahan, Banagher, Co. Offaly, died peacefully on 12th August 2026 at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his father Thomas, mother Josephine, brothers Anthony and Raymond, sister Claire, and brothers-in-law Jim Ryan and Joe Considine.
