Francis (Frank) McNamara N.T., Elmgrove, Birr, Co. Offaly, March 17th, 2026, peacefully in the loving care of his daughter Cliodhna, in his 93rd year.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Philomena (née Fitzgerald), his daughter Mary, brother Patrick, sisters Ann (O’Brien) and Esther (Feeney), son-in-law Tom Munnelly, brother’s-in-law and sister’s-in-law.

Deeply regretted by his loving children; Siobhan, Fergal, Niamh, Cliodhna and Brian, daughters-in-law Karla Patricia and Orla, his adored grandchildren; Orlaith, Ronan, Róisin, Doireann, Mayte, Caitríona, Eimear, Aisling, Kevin and Jennifer, his great-grandchildren Mia and Cian, his sister Majella (Duffy), sister’s-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours, great friends and wonderful carers.

Rody Carroll, Killeen, Riverstown, Birr, Co. Offaly, passed away on March 17th, 2026, in his 90th year, in the loving care of The Clonmacnoise Suite, Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore and previously in the wonderful Birr Community Nursing Unit.

Former employee of Bord na Móna.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Catherine and brothers Patsy and Jack.

Loving husband of Kathleen, father of Shirley, Peter, Janet and Robert and adored grandfather of his eight grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, his sister Mol, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Mary McDermott (née O’Keeffe) late of St. Brendans Villa’s and Newbridge St. Birr, Co. Offaly and formerly of Newport, Co. Tipperary.

Mary died peacefully on March 2nd, 2026, in her 88th year, in the care of The Clonmacnoise Ward, Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was also cared for by the excellent staff of the Laurel Suite, Birr Community Nursing Unit where she resided for the last three years.

Predeceased by her loving husband John and her son Ger.

Mary will be sadly missed by her daughters Deirdre, Mary and Elaine, her sons; Andrew, Noel, Colm and Ian, also by her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her brothers and sisters and her many neighbours and friends.
