Emlyn Gallagher, Seffin Avenue, Birr, Co. Offaly and formerly of Lusmagh, Co. Offaly, passed away peacefully on March 7th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of The Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore.
Pre-deceased by his parents Rita and Pat Gallagher and his parents-in-law Nora and Michael Sullivan.
Beloved husband of AnneMarie and loving father to Alex, Emma and Cliodhna. He will be sadly missed by his brother Mel (Dublin) and sister Pia Ryan (Portarlington), brother’s-in-law Colin and Denis, sister-in-law Breda.
Fondly remembered by his uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and his many friends and work colleagues.
May Emyln’s gentle soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Boyd’s Funeral Home, Birr (R42YF75) on Wednesday, March 11th, from 5pm – 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am. in St. Brendan’s Church, Birr followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.

Mary McDermott

The death has occurred of Mary McDermott (née O’Keeffe) late of St. Brendans Villa’s and Newbridge St. Birr, Co. Offaly and formerly of Newport, Co. Tipperary.
Mary died peacefully on March 2nd, 2026, in her 88th year, in the care of The Clonmacnoise Ward, Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was also cared for by the excellent staff of the Laurel Suite, Birr Community Nursing Unit where she resided for the last three years.
Predeceased by her loving husband John and her son Ger.
Mary will be sadly missed by her daughters Deirdre, Mary and Elaine, her sons; Andrew, Noel, Colm and Ian, also by her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her brothers and sisters and her many neighbours and friends.
May she Rest In Peace.

The death has sadly occurred of Rebecca Hehir, 3 Grove street, Crinkill, Birr, Co. Offaly.
Rebecca passed away peacefully on the 21st of February 2026, surrounded by her loving family, in the care of the wonderful staff at The Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore. Rebecca is predeceased by her beloved mother Bridget and her brother James.
Rebecca will be forever loved and deeply missed, by her loving daughter Sarah Jane, her heartbroken father Seamus, her sisters and brothers, her four grandchildren; Kyle, Alyssa, Laighton and Ruben, her heartbroken fiance Richard , his parents Liz and Obez ,and his sister Sinéad, son in law Shane, nieces ,nephews,uncles and aunts , cousins and her great neighbours and friends.
May she Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Boyd’s Funeral Home, Birr on Tuesday evening from 5-7pm. Returning to her home thereafter. House private on Tuesday night, however close friends and neighbours are welcome to visit. Removal on Wednesday morning to arrive at St.Brendan’s Church, Birr for Funeral Mass at 11am., followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr. House private to family Wednesday morning.

Stasia passed away on February 3rd, 2026 in the wonderful care of Laurel Suite, BCNU, Birr, Co. Offaly.
Predeceased by her parents Eric and Maura and her partner Joe (Vaughan).
She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken daughter Shelly, son Gary and daughter Stacy, son- in – law- Barry, her beloved grandchildren; Reece, Becky, Nicole, Jazzy, Barry, Claire and Savannah, her six sister’s and seven brother’s, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Reposing at Boyd’s Funeral home, Birr, on Thursday evening from 5pm. -7pm. Removal from Boyd’s on Friday morning at 9.15am. for Funeral Mass in St.Brendans Church, Birr at 10.00am followed by a private Cremation.
