Born on the 19th of August 2026, loved beyond measure from the very beginning. Our beautiful baby Ted passed away peacefully on the 12th of September 2026, in the arms of his loving mothers, Amy and Richelle, after fighting so bravely throughout his short life.

Ted will be forever loved and missed by his heartbroken mothers; his grandparents Michael and Betty Spain and Paddy and Eilish O’Neill; his great-grandad Mick Spain; his aunts and uncles Patrick, Liz, Sandra, Gen, Thomas, Petra & Sean; his uncles Thomas and Andrew who have gone before him; his cousins, extended family and all those who loved, prayed for and cared for him.

Though Ted’s time with us was far too short, our perfect little boy touched the hearts of so many and will be loved and remembered always.

Ted will be at home with his family on Sunday, 13th September. Family and friends are warmly welcome to call to the family home in Syngefield, Birr (R42 CV66) in the afternoon.

Ted will be cremated privately at a later date.

The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and entire NICU team at Cork University Maternity Hospital for the extraordinary care, kindness and love shown to Ted throughout his life.

Sleep peacefully, beautiful Ted.
You have fought long enough now.

Reflection

Dear Lord, As our students begin a new school year, I pray that you will keep them in your care. Send your Spirit to open their minds to all that is true and beautiful and good Help them to see the gifts and talents you have given them and to use them well. Help them to grow in knowledge and wisdom. Help them to be kind to others and lead others to be kind to them. Give their teachers patience and understanding and help them teach what is just and true. Send your angels to guide and guard our children and to keep them from all harm. Open their young hearts to your presence and enfold them in your peace and protection. Hold them in the palm of your hand and bring them home safely at day’s end. Amen.
