Margaret McDonagh (Nee Spollen) Birr, Co offaly and formerly of Ballykilmurry, Tullamore, Co Offaly and Dublin. Passed away on September 2nd 2026 Peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff of Esker Rí Nursing Home, Clara, surrounded by her loving family

Predeceased by her loving parents, Brigid and Malachy and her loving brothers Jimmy, Johnny, Thady, Joseph and Pat

Beloved wife of Eamon and cherished mam of Emmet and Fergal, daughter-in-law Susan and very sadly missed by her loving grandchildren Katie and Lauren. Deeply regretted by her sister Mary and brothers Malachy, Arthur, Noel, Ned and Brendan, brother and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends

May She Rest In Peace

Reposing at Esker Rí Oratory on Friday from 4pm until 6pm. Removal on Saturday at 12 noon to the Church of the Assumption, Tullamore, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm. Margaret will be laid to rest after Mass in St. Colmcille’s Cemetery, Durrow.

Reflection

Dear Lord, As our students begin a new school year, I pray that you will keep them in your care. Send your Spirit to open their minds to all that is true and beautiful and good Help them to see the gifts and talents you have given them and to use them well. Help them to grow in knowledge and wisdom. Help them to be kind to others and lead others to be kind to them. Give their teachers patience and understanding and help them teach what is just and true. Send your angels to guide and guard our children and to keep them from all harm. Open their young hearts to your presence and enfold them in your peace and protection. Hold them in the palm of your hand and bring them home safely at day’s end. Amen.
