Michael Doran, Clonoghill Upper, Birr, Co. Offaly, and formerly of Taughmacconnell, Co. Roscommon. Retired Garda Sergeant, Michael died peacefully on April 3rd, 2024 in the care of the wonderful staff at Birr Community Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family, in his 86th year. Predeceased by his son Paul, brothers Jerome and Paddy, sisters Eileen and Betty. Beloved husband of Noreen and father of Liam, Micheal and Eamonn. He will be very sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren; Conor, Ciara,Amy, Adam and Michael, brothers; Frank and Jimmy, his sisters; Peggy, Maureen and Bridie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and extended family, his many friends and former colleagues in an Garda Siochana. Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at St. Brendan’s Church, Birr at 10.45am. for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.
