Johanna (Josie) Spain (nee Corcoran) Ballaghboy, Shinrone, Birr, Co.Offaly and formerly Derrykeel, Kinnity, Birr, Co.Offaly died 14th of June 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband William (Willie), grandson Aidan King, her parents Jack and Ellen Corcoran, brother Billy and uncle Joe Corcoran. Forever will be sadly missed by her heartbroken daughters Mary (King), Helen and Bernadette, her sister Anne, sons in law Paul and Enda, grandchildren Aislinn, Joseph and Conor, especially her best friend and neighbour Mrs Ann Ryan, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, great neighbours, friends and Fluffy the cat. And a special thanks to her doctor, nurses, Carers and the palliative care team for their kindness and care.        May her gentle soul rest in peace. Reposing on Wednesday in Treacys Funeral Home, Shinrone (R42E125) from 7 o’clock until 8.30 o’clock. Private removal on Thursday to St.Mary’s Church, Shinrone (R42 WT26) for Funeral mass at 1 o’clock followed by burial afterwards in Clareen Cemetery, Clareen, Birr. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, in lieu of flowers to Birr Community Nursing Unit Birr.
