Rita Boyd (née Kennedy), Emmet Street and formerly of The Stables, Oxmantown Mall, Birr, Co. Offaly, passed peacefully in her 91st, year on September 4th, 2025, in the wonderful care of Ward 3C, University Hospital, Limerick surrounded by her family, having been previously been in the excellent care of Villa Marie, Nursing Home, Roscrea. Predeceased by her beloved husband Dan.

Rita will be sadly and forever missed by her loving family, sons and daughters; Mary (Quinlan), Roscrea, Deirdre (McCarthy), Roscrea, Donal and Paul, sons-in-law Ray and John, daughters-in-law Caroline and Sinéad, her adored grandchildren; Daniel, David, Brian, Daragh, Kate, Danielle, Thomas, Rachel, Campbell, Marc, Maxwell, Joseph and Oscar, her four great-grandchildren; Heidi, Sonny, Síofra and Sophie, grandsons-in-law Ciarán and Séan, granddaughters – in- law Claire and Aida, sisters-in-law Rita (Kennedy) and Maura (Boyd), Sligo, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May she Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Boyd’s Funeral Home, Birr (R42 YF75) on Saturday from 5pm. – 7pm.
Removal from Donal’s residence , Oxmantown Mall on Sunday at 11.30am. to arrive at St. Brendan’s Church, Birr at 11.45am. for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.
