November – Month of Remembering (Mí na Mairbh)

All Saints Day – Saturday 1st November is a Holy Day when we celebrate the women and men we have known and from every time and place who are not formally recognised as saints but have been welcomed home to God. Mass @ 10am & 7.30pm in St. Brendan’s

All Souls Day – Sunday 2nd November we remember our beloved dead. We have a beautiful tradition of visiting a church or graveyard on this day and throughout November (Mí na Mairbh) to pray quietly for our dead and to be encouraged by their memories. Some people treat the month of November as a mini Lent – making sacrifices, staying off alcohol or sweet things or attending Mass. Sunday Mass times 8.30, 10.30 & 12noon.
