A sincere thank you for all who made our Bi-Centenary celebration such a success on Friday night and for all the preparation in the lead up. We acknowledge the huge work that has been done on the grounds and the refurbishing of the Church under the guidance of the Cemetery & Church committee. A special word of thanks to Carmel Campbell and the choir and to all who participated in the liturgy on the night. We acknowledge the pivotal role of Tony Dargan in compiling the commemorative booklet assisted by Margaret O’Brien, Grace Carey, Joe Keane & Sharon Conneely. We thank Bríd Coonan (née O’Meara) for the magnificent floral arrangements and the pupils of Carrig N.S who displayed their beautiful art work in the front porch of the Church. Our thanks to the hall committee and all the volunteers who facilitated the reception at the conclusion of the celebrations. Its families and people that are the real Church.
